This Valentine’s theme was inspired by two Christmas items! Yes, I said Christmas! First were these beautiful Blush magnolias I picked up from Hobby Lobby!

The second item was this beautiful pick I picked up from Micheals for 80% off! I grabbed 2 of them not knowing exactly what I was going to use them for and wow I am so glad I did. They really glammed up so many pieces and help tie in this look!

From the moment I saw these blush magnolias I knew right away, I was using them for Valentine’s. My Hobby Lobby only had three there so as soon as I got home, I called my daughter Amanda and asked her to head to her local Hobby Lobby in Scottsdale and see if they had any left. Luckily they had three more! I was so thrilled because only three would have made for a small arrangement lol. When I headed to the beach to hang out with my Bestie and help her decorate her home for Christmas, she gave me my belated birthday gift. One of the items in the bag was one more blush magnolia flower. She was so sweet for grabbing me the last one she had at her local Hobby lobby in Encinitas, CA. With everyone’s help, I was able to showcase these beauties this Valentines!

Let’s talk more about the glitter Christmas picks from Micheals! Sometimes when I get stuck on a design, or I need some inspiration I’ll to take a trip to Micheals. For me, Micheals has the right amount of decor and craft project balance. I’ll walk in sometimes looking for a vase, and I’ll come across a fun piece that I will want to use in a DIY. Something similar happened in this case, I went looking for any kind of Valentine’s decor, and I walked by these pink glitter picks in the clearance section. I knew they were the right color, but I didn’t know how I was going to use them. But at that price, I grabbed two and headed home. That is when inspiration hit! After a recent trip to Home Goods, I purchased the white roses, and while I was playing around with those, I figured out I could cut up the pink Christmas picks and place them into the arrangement. Then I thought how else can I use these, and that is when I went into the garage and grabbed a gold wreath. Cutting up the picks and placing them through the wreath and flowers were the perfect use for these picks. Between the flowers and the picks, I spent under 25.00 for this look.

To finish off the look I headed to Ross and I found these two blush rugs. Yes, I said rugs! I wanted that soft fuzzy look and these rugs gave it to me. One was 19.99 and the other was only 14.99. By placing one rug on the table and the other one on my bench it helped tie in both spaces. When you are out shopping try and think outside the box. Another trick I use is how can I use this in more than one space or can this piece be multi-purpose. If the item can be used in 2 or more ways then its a plus!

Lastly to finish off my look I used pink crystals I purchased last Easter from Micheals to tie in my entryway area to the rest of the room. By repurposing items I already had helped me save money. Remember always shop your home before purchasing items. It’s good for the environment and good for your bank account.
