You overwhelmingly asked for some Facebook marketplace tips! I will share all that I know with you! It had defiantly been a learning experience. But I have scored some amazing deals. Since moving back from Texas 7 months ago and starting a whole house remodel I knew that I was going to have to furnish this house on a budget. So for the first time, I hopped on the FB marketplace and started hunting for unique pieces that I could add to my decor or that I could DIY and refinish!
Let’s get started with how to find the FB marketplace on your FB feed.
Start by opening your FB page. You can see the little house at the bottom. Click it, that will take you to the marketplace. Next you’re going to see your parameters. To adjust click that, and then you can customize your radius.
Now that you are set up to see Items in your area or the area you are willing to drive to you can start shopping. The marketplace is intuitive. Once you start searching for certain items those items will begin to show up on your feed. However, you can still search for any item by typing it into the search field. Fb marketplace also divides items into categories so you can browse by newly listed, household, recently reducted etc….
Now that you are on and you find an item you love now what?? Well If I love it and I think the price is right I will just message that I want it! Some people are just looking to get rid of an item and they list at a fair price.

Now if I like something and I think it’s overpriced. I will offer less and if they say no I will save it and watch it. If it sells it wasn’t ment to be. If it sits for a few days I’ll message again. Sometimes it works and sometimes I have lost an item I am still obsessing about lol.
A couple items I have scored on are…

A couple of extra tips! If you see an item you love but can’t afford it at that time. Save it! Check back when you have the money you might get lucky! Look through the reduced item section often, once people start reducing items they are ready to get rid of it and negotiate.
Ok now that I have shared the good here are a couple of issues I have had. Once I was actually driving to pick up 2 photos from a lady I was messaging all day and she texted me when I was 15 min from her house that someone bought them and then she blocked me so I couldn’t respond. It was so rude and wasted a lot of my time. Sometimes people just won’t respond back to messages on items you ask about… It’s weird but it happens. Be prepared to drive sometimes. For some reason, most of the items I have liked are at least 30 minutes from me! And lastly, be sure to check your prices. A couple of times an item I liked or wanted to buy was the same price or cheaper online. So always check out your items online first especially if your paying over 100.00 and its a name brand item like Wayfair, ZGallerie, West Elm,
