WHO IS OLIVIA?
Olivia was born and raised in Michigan. She is a full-time mom, wife, and E-Designer! Olivia realized her passion for interior decorating during the building process of her own home. She started her page to inspire others to be able to turn their dream spaces into a reality so she is excited to see where this path takes her.
WHY DID OLIVIA START HER PAGE?
Olivia has always loved home decor, fashion, and glam. What really inspired her to start her account was when she posted a Christmas tree a couple of years ago that was re-shared to another account. She began gaining followers quickly, and realized that people loved what they were seeing! From there she started trying new things on her account and it just took off!
WHAT DOES OLIVIA LOVE ABOUT HAVING A HOME DECOR ACCOUNT?
Olivia believes that every home decor account is unique and different! She knows that none of the homes are perfect and feels like the home decor accounts on Instagram are so relatable! She doesn’t ever want anyone looking at her page to think that they aren’t able to decorate their spaces like she does! She shops at home goods, she shops at hobby lobby, and all the normal stores. Not everything has to be super high end and expensive. She wants people to be inspired to do the same to their homes.
WHAT ARE OLIVIA’S E-DESIGN DETAILS?
Olivia’s e-design services started when all of her kids went to school full time about a year ago. She was home more and could take it more seriously. She’s been a stay at home mom for over 10 years and wanted to do something fulfilling on her own. She started with one client and researched as best as she could. At first, she didn’t know what she was doing, but it just came so natural to her!
Olivia offers e-design virtually. She normally does not go into homes since everything can be done online. Olivia can do any room in the house. If a client wants her to do more than one room, she offers deals and specials. Her turn around time is about a week and a half or two weeks. WHAT TIPS DOES OLIVIA HAVE FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO START AN IG LIKE HERS?
Olivia’s number one tip is to be yourself! Don’t try to be like anybody else because people will see through that. Followers are wanting to see unique content that is styled in unique ways. Olivia believes that even though lots of home decor accounts style with the same things, they all do it in their own ways. Do what you truly love and believe is beautiful and represents your personality and design aesthetic.
Olivia also recommends engagement for so many reasons! Engagement is not only to stay consistent on Instagram, it’s also an amazing way to make friends. So many connections can be made and it’s a beautiful thing – “it’s almost like family to me.”
