Thanks to this podcast journey, I have been so incredibly fortunate to have interviewed some amazing home decor bloggers over the past couple of months! If you’ve been following along, you’ve probably learned some fantastic social media tips that you can’t really find anywhere else unless you pay for it!
Today I’m going to share three of my past guests who I absolutely adore and have learned so much from. They have each had such unique and useful tips – even I’ve learned so much from them! Let’s get started!

1) SIMONE CLARK FROM @SDDECOR:
Her inspiration page has done its job and inspired so many people, including myself. Her Instagram recently hit 300k followers, and I am so proud of the hard work she has put into her page and her business to make that happen! Simone believes that we all start from zero and slowly but surely grow – patience is key and growth takes time. For someone who wants to start an inspirational page on Instagram, Simone says it’s super important to make sure your page reflects who you truly are! Even if your page is inspirational, it’s key to post home décor and spaces that you truly love! If you’re just posting to post, it wouldn’t really make sense to run your own account. The whole point of an inspirational account is to inspire, so it’s important to be inspired by your own page and pictures you choose! Also, Simone believes that gaining organic followers is important because in the end, the growth is faster. There’s no rush and growing an Instagram account won’t happen overnight, so Simone encourages beginners to take your time because there’s no rush! Growth should happen organically like it’s supposed to. There is also a large chance that your account could be hacked when buying followers – so be careful!

2) STEPHANIE PADILLA FROM @BLISSFULHOMEDECOR:
This girl was one of my very first guests and is such an inspiration to me! If you missed her full interview on my podcast, you totally need to give it a listen – you will learn so much from her and her positive attitude shines. I’m so blessed to call her one of my friends! Stephanie says to get a good editing app and invest in the $30 ring light from amazon!” Lighting is so important and isn’t too expensive at all. A good editing app is also important. She just discovered the app called Kind Master that she swears by, but also loves Inshot. Kind Master has a bunch of options including a variety of transitions and cool graphics to use! As far as TikTok, it’s a work in progress. One tip when using TikTok to grow is to search for trending hashtags and use them on your posts. Also, when posting on social media whether it be an Instagram post, Instagram stories, or TikTok videos, never be afraid to show your whole house! Since a home is always evolving and ever-changing, it’s important to show even the parts being renovated because that’s part of your journey too! Always remember – consistency is key!!

3) LANDON MARSH FROM 6 INSTAGRAM ACCOUNTS INCLUDING @MOST_GLAM_HOMES_OF_INSTA:
Can you believe this guy?! He’s only 17 years old, owns multiple Instagram accounts including an online store, and does everything as a senior in high school. He’s truly mind-blowing and an overall great person to be friends with! Personally, I think Landon shared one of the all-time best tips regarding the Instagram world. This is one of Landon’s top secrets and how he has gained TONS of followers (including celebs)! Here it goes. If you have someone specific that you want following you, turn on post notifications for that account. Each time that person posts, you’ll get a notification and be one of the first people to comment on the post. After a while, this will catch that person’s eye and they’ll most likely follow you back! The more consistent, the better. Also and just as important, engage! If someone is taking time out of their day to engage with you on your photos, like and comment back! Stay consistent, post at least 3 times a week. Once you get a little bit bigger, set goals and post 2-3 videos per week in combination with your photos. Just be consistent.

MY CHRISTMAS TIPS!
I remember my very first year on Instagram, I truly wasn’t ready for the Instagram holiday season. I’m hoping these tips help you feel a little more prepared than I did!
You will need at least 2 months worth of content to share with your followers. You want to start preparing for that now – that’s a lot of content! Write down some ideas of some ideas you’ve been brainstorming for your Christmas content and DIY videos – maybe a wreath, or recycling an ornament, or a topiary!
1) Pull out your Christmas decor this weekend or next and take inventory of what you already have! Take this time to pull it all out and see what you already have and what you might need more of!
2) Decide on your theme. What colors are you going to use? Are you going to be more traditional or more modern? How many trees are you going to have? I personally have 4 trees that are going up which means I’ll be planning 4 different looks in different spaces.
3) Write a budget and stick to it. This year has been tight to say the least for a lot of us! If that is you, too, recycle and repurpose things you already have. That way when you’re out shopping, you’re not out grabbing random things. The holidays can be super overwhelming, so having a budget in place will help with that. You don’t have to spend thousands of dollars to make your home festive!
